At The Salvation Army, volunteers play an active role in caring and enriching the lives of the children, youths, elderly and families it serves. Meeting needs and providing hope in the community since 1935, the chairtable organization believes that every life is precious and actively helps those in need regardless of age, race or religion.

Produced to complement the non-profit’s outreach programme, this music video is premised on the idea of paying it forward – with actual volunteers filmed passing the baton in the form of The Salvation Army's symbolic shield – set to the song "Saving Grace".

Showcasing the variety of ways volunteers can help – spanning kettling, games and activities, cooking classes, arts and crafts, decoration and renovation, pet therapy, hairstyling and grooming, sports, sorting donations, tuition classes, reading sessions, distributing groceries, meal preparation, and so much more – the video seeks to help interested parties understand how they too can participate in the gift of giving.

The Creative Services team at Discovery is proud to have provided its resources and expertise pro-bono – together with the generous support of the participating film crew and production houses.

The sky's the limit when it comes to making a difference in the lives of others. Join The Salvation Army as a volunteer today. Find out more here.
