The Academy Awards 2019: a night to celebrate movie-making excellence in Hollywood... and an opportunity to spotlight issues of interest in the entertainment industry – particularly in view of the #MeToo and #OscarsSoWhite movements of past years.

Collaborating with client Unilever and media agency Mindshare, the #LuxDefyingJudgements campaign sought to celebrate the many inspirational women at the Oscars and ignite conversation on societally-relevant topics such as female and Asian representation.

From E! Live on the Red Carpet to the Academy Awards full show – throughout the entire 6-hour live proceedings – the E! Asia team created in-the-moment, snackable video content for E! Online Asia and Twitter across key Asian markets to engage fans and followers.

Sharing insights, applauding wins and celebrating icons, the campaign culminated in an E! News Asia round-up of the unforgettable moments this Oscar season – in all garnering positive responses from clients, partners and fans alike.
