Don't Know, Don't Care is a short film that highlights important psychosocial and emotional issues arising from life-limiting illness in a family. Wrapped up in their own lives, the family is pushed out of its comfort zone when the grandfather in the family takes ill. The storyline then traces the development of familial relationships under the pressure of caring for a loved one.
Produced for HCA Hospice Care – with a script by Haresh Sharma (Resident Playwright, The Necessary Stage) brought to life by Singaporean actors Karen Tan, Joshua Lim and Michael Tan – the project aims to inform youths on the issues of eldercare, hospice and palliative care.
To translate the project from script to screen, the Creative Services team at Discovery provided its resources and expertise pro-bono – together with the generous support of the participating film crew and production houses.
